Hat and Wearable Art Sale
Thursday, October 3 – Thursday, October 31, 2024
Lois Carlene Bosworth passed away in May at the age of 92. An active member of her church and community, Lois was also a longtime patron of Clague Playhouse.
Lois was known for her famous “wearable art” pieces: hats, sweaters, scarves, and coats that included hand-made glass-fired buttons. She sold her creations on the wearable art-show circuit, traveling across multiple states for more than forty years and becoming a well-known name. She was one of four featured artists at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Textile Alliance Wearable Art runway show and sale in October, 2009 and at the Lakewood Art festival in 2014.
The very last of her collection will be on sale at Clague Playhouse starting on the final weekend of performances of Ken Ludwig’s Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood on Thursday, October 3, Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5 from 1-9PM and Sunday, October 6 from 1-3PM. Her wearable art will continue to be on display during Box Office hours Wednesday through Saturday from 1:00 to 6:00PM through October 31. Please stop in and take some time to honor Lois’s memory and browse her final collection of wearable art. The hats, sweaters, scarves, and handbags are fabulous, and will make magnificent holiday gifts and attire. Each unique piece was made with love, great craft, and by an honored member of our community.
All items may be purchased by donation with a minimum donation of $20. All proceeds go to Clague Playhouse for operating expenses. Clague Playhouse is a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
